BNL rents out a stock of beautiful handmade and readymade costumes for dance and theater to increase a sustainable footprint on the stage.
Producing art in New York City is expensive. The options to buy costumes add cost and storage demands to artists and contributes shipping trash to the environment. Options to rent are few and equally expensive.
We at BNL rent out our costumes to support artists by reducing the necessity of each company and school to supply and store all costumes on their own. Our hope it to help other artists make high quality art for lower environmental and production costs.
We graciously accept donations in good condition to expand the shared closet and our reach within the performing arts community.

If you are interested in renting our costumes, send an introduction with the pieces you are interested in and dates for rental. We are happy to schedule a fitting for dancers to try on items and/or help you arrange a pick-up for costumes.
